Ruby is a first-generation Taiwanese-American raised in Diamond Bar, California. After graduating with a B.A in Economics and minor in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2002, she began her career as a Market and Operations Analyst in eCommerce, where she worked on some of the first online subscription-based business models.  She moved on to be a Sales Associate at a fashion handbag company, before starting her own licensed handbag company, focusing on product design, brand marketing, and wholesale distribution. Today, she wears many hats as she handles Marketing, Sales and Accounting duties at Akiles, a second-generation family business specializing in wholesale distribution of office machines.  On her spare time she enjoys watching bad apocalyptic action movies with her (somewhat begrudging) family members and playing Royal Match (level 10,000) on her phone.
